Wrap Ups

march 2021 – wrap up

Hey there! Welcome to my March wrap up. This month was a light one and basically all of my read and watch activity was in the last third of the month. I was hoping to do more, but I just accepted that March was not the month for it.

I had plans to complete at least 8 books and I only managed to read 4. Here is what I read:

Legendborn by Tracy Deonn – this one was getting a lot of buzz so I picked it up first. Here’s my review.

This month’s word for the Buzzword Reading Challenge was ‘time’ and for that I read A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle. I mainly chose this because I planned to watch the film adaptation and I prefer to read then watch.

Miss Meteor by Tehlor Kay Mejia and Anna-Marie McLemore – I read this for the Syd and Jordy Get Lit book club and enjoyed it a lot. I got me out of that weird slump I was having so I picked up …

All About Love: New Visions by Bell Hooks – This was the rebelwomenlit book club pick which was an interesting read. It led me to having a nearly 3 hour discussion with someone about some points brought up.

And that’s all I read! I hope April will be a way better month for me.

This month I watched 16 films. Half of them, I watched in a day for a 24 hour marathon (see blog post) and in the next half, 3 were minute long (or short? lol) films.

Here are my top watches (↩️= rewatch)

  • The Breadwinner (2017) – ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
  • BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky (2019) – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
